The Metropolitan Energy Center provides energy auditor training which is essential for contractors and auditors who want to participate in the following local and state programs:
The energy auditor training meets or exceeds the requirements and expectations of the Building Performance Institute (BPI) for Building Analyst and
the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) for Home Energy Auditor. (This
class does not cover the mortgage and HERS Ratings-specific components of the
RESNET Rater exam).
Attendees are required to attend the complete five-day course. The book, "Residential Energy: Cost Savings and Comfort for Existing Buildings," is provided, and only a pencil and notebook is required. Cost for 5-day training (including lunch each day and use of laptops) and written exam is $1050.00. A required field test and two (2) audit reviews for certification is priced separately ($350.00) and is scheduled based upon trainer availability.
Training is conducted either at our training facility at 3800 Paseo Blvd, KCMO, or at another facility in Kansas City, Kansas. For training opportunities, check out our
Training Center Calendar.
